- Ducati Days -
2005 / 2006 / 2007

05 and 06 were our most successful Ducati seasons. Sponsored directly by Ducati North America we took on some of the best riders in the US - sometimes with the very potent in it's day Ducati 999R, other times with it's younger brother, the nimble, potent, beautifully balanced 749R. In 05 we even committed to run our underdog 749R for the entire season - no matter who showed up on what bike out there - in the highly contested AFM Open Twins class. 05 was the year Aprilia posted a ten thousand dollar championship purse for Open Twins, and Honda handed out Fifteen hundred dollar purses regularly. Although it caused great stresses in our team at the time, and at times had us face impossible odds, we kept our promise all season long and ultimately captured the title. Our 05 and 06 seasons are chock full of great stories about triumph, tragedy, wins and losses, with each story sticking to one contant theme - the truth. But the truth is a double edged sword, and while we managed to cut very carefully with it most of the time, that sword finally cut back at us in what turned out to be a tragic blow for us in March of 2007.

Although 05 and 06 were our most potent Ducati years, we actually raced Ducati superbikes exclusively for seven straight years before 05 - from 1998 all the way up to that one fateful day in early 2007. But, as an old friend once told me many years ago - "Nothing lasts forever."

To the left is a series of links, all leading to their respective race stories. Each is filled with images, some have videos, and they all have a lot of heart.
