The Inner Workings of Vanson Leathers -
Chapter V- Crash Repair

Like I said before, I'll always be fascinated by the fact that we can slide, tumble, twist and flip for a hundred yards with nothing between the pavement and our delicate skin but a few mm of leather. But what happens once you get up and brush yourself off after such a crash? I mean, Vanson Leathers are great, but they're not magic. They will take the hit for you, but still there's a hit - and after a few crashes add up it's time to send them back to Vanson for a little Crash Repair.

Finally we finish with a candid look at Steve Aspland - a long time racer, and Vanson Journeyman. I came up on Steve once sitting on the outside of Bridgehampton's hellacious back kink, in a pile of sand with his brand new (first one in the US) Ducati 748 strewn all over the track. I missed his fuel tank by about three feet. He had no idea who he was, or where he was - I'm sure of it. When I got back to the pits all I could tell his pit crew was, "He's moving. I definitely saw him moving..."

I hope you guys enjoyed all that. It was fun to make (huge pain in the ass). Maybe if this generates some feedback I'll finish the video I began to produce on slipper clutches (because why wouldn't you?).
